March is a special month for Food At First!  It was in March of 2004 that the first “Thursday Night Meal” was served…  and we haven’t missed one in the SEVEN YEARS since!

And March 1st, 2010 was the first day that we picked up gleaned food from Sam’s Club, followed several weeks later by our first Walmart pickup…  all of which led to the birth of the Free Market!  Well, not “The” Free Market, but at least ours here in Ames!

Thanks to the generous donors, and literally thousands of volunteers, who have made our community a place where no one has to go hungry.
