New Grocery Carts for Clients

Thanks to the Ames Rotary 2022 Community Grant and Walmart community Grant. Food at First was able to purchase 120 metal grocery carts to distribute to our clients. At Food at First, it is one of our goals to support our clients’ ability to take however much food that they need with as few limitations as possible.

Supplying grocery carts has already enabled a more efficient and reliable process for clients to transport their food to their homes.

Volunteer Group Highlight

St. Thomas Aquinas Church Members.

Since 2004, St. Thomas Aquinas church members have been an essential group at FAF providing financial contributions and volunteering. Individual and groups of volunteers help with gleaning, day-to-day tasks, and many fill volunteer time slots fort the Free Market and Daily Meals programs.
