While most of our food is donated and our programs are powered by volunteers, monetary donations are essential to keep Food at First running.
Your financial support helps cover day-to-day operating costs; things like utilities, equipment maintenance and repairs, fuel for our van, cleaning supplies, garbage collection, and floor rug rentals. These practical expenses may not be glamorous, but they’re what keep our doors open to welcome our guests.

Ways to Give

Food at First is an independent nonprofit that operates entirely on donations. We don’t receive regular funding from any outside source, so every contribution truly makes a difference.
Endowment
Help ensure the future of Food at First by donating to our Endowment Fund, managed by the Story County Community Foundation (SCCF) (link). Your gift supports the long-term stability of our programs so we can continue serving the community for many years to come.

- By Check: Print and mail the SCCF donation form. Be sure to write “Food at First Endowment Fund” on both the form and your check.
- Through SCCF: Contact the Story County Community Foundation directly (link) and specify that your gift is for the Food at First Endowment Fund.
