Free Meals
Everyone Welcome
Food at First serves a free, hot meal every single day of the year — no questions asked. Whether you’re struggling to make ends meet, feeling lonely, or just need a good meal and friendly faces, you’re always welcome here.
All meals are served at 611 Clark Ave, West door, lower level of First Christian Church in downtown Ames.
FAF saved me in my hardest times. Some may be facing hard times like never before. Thank you to all of the volunteers and behind-the-scenes workers. I will never forget FAF and the role it played in keeping me alive.

Free Market
Fresh Groceries for All
The Food at First Free Market is a free perishable food pantry open three times each week. We share thousands of pounds of fresh, high-quality food — much of it left after our chefs prepare daily meals — with anyone who could use groceries for the week. No forms, no requirements, no questions asked.
